"Change begins with you"

The Riverkeeper 5k is a fundraiser event planned and organized by students out of Woodbridge Senior High School in Woodbridge, Virginia. Located just South of the Occoquan Reservoir, Woodbridge is heavily reliant on the Potomac Watershed for accessible clean water. With the help of the Woodbridge community, we can maintain clean water for our neighbors and residents.

A note from our founder

What began as an idea for a small environmental project has become a student-run fundraiser to support our local non-profit environmental organization, Potomac Riverkeeper. As students with interests in humanitarianism and preservation of our ecosystem, we pulled together to organize this fun run. Gaining sponsorships from local businesses has allowed us to put on this event and we, as students, are learning important lessons about topics such as leadership, organization, and business.
